In January 2024, BioNanoWorks in Germany launched the world's first commercial DNA nanosensor "DetectX", which can monitor viral RNA fragments in blood in real time with a detection sensitivity of 0.1 copies/μ L. It has obtained EU medical device certification and the first batch of orders will be supplied to multiple hospitals in Europe.
